It's hard to explain but.happiness is supposed to exist somewhere physically. One sign you can notice in yourself that I didn't realize until I started therapy: you don't have physical sensations when feeling. Self-injury (e.g.Someone once told me, "your parents shouldn't be your first bullies" and holy F**K that rocked me.Difficulty finishing tasks or accomplishing.Overcommit or take on more responsibility than they can handle.Difficulty making decisions and judgments.Sudden change in performance, attention, or memory issues. Negative changes of self (e.g., views self as permanently damaged).Negatively influenced by peers or adults.Fearful of home life (e.g., arriving to school early or leaving late).Increased absenteeism from school or work.Loss of interest in, withdrawing, or struggling to stay with an activity.Self-injury (e.g., cutting, hair pulling, burning).Changes in how they think about the world.Drastic and/or sudden changes to appearance (e.g., hair color, haircut, piercing, tattoos, clothing attire).Frequent behavioral referrals at school.
